What to Expect

Each weekend at Discover Church, you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with fresh, energetic music and digital presentations to help you make the most of the practical and relevant message.

We offer creative, exciting programs for children from birth – 5th grade during each service. Our DC Kids team members teach biblical values that will help your child build a strong foundation of faith to grow on. We have three distinct areas for children: nursery (0 to 12 months) & tots (1 to 2 years), preschool & kindergarten, and elementary school (1st to 5th grade).

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” and that’s fine with us!

Services start at 9am & 10:30am every Sunday. Come on in and grab a free cup of coffee, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

At Discover Church, there is no dress code. We believe God cares more about the condition of your heart than your outward appearance. Feel free to dress up, or come in jeans and your favorite t-shirt, whatever makes you comfortable.

Discover Church meets at 406 S Bedford St. Georgetown DE 19947.

We gather together Sunday mornings at 9am & 10:30am.

In addition, we also host several small groups through the month to help encourage & equip you! Find out more about our small groups here.

Biblical Teaching

Every Sunday morning, you will hear a powerful message from God's Word

that is uplifting, encouraging, but also moves us to action!

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

At Discover Church, we believe the Word of God to be infallible and the source of all Truth.

Worship

Come and anticipate an encounter with God through worship every Sunday morning! The reason our worship teams feel such a calling to lead people into God's presence is because they have a hunger to know the Lord more deeply.

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." (Romans 12:1)

Experience Community

Through our busy schedules, demanding careers, and the needs of those closest to us, it can so easy to simply cruise through life alone. But that's not how we were created to live. A relationship with God calls us to deeper fellowship with other believers:

"Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."

(Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12)

You'll find smiling faces & warm embraces at Discover Church on Sunday mornings. Not perfect people...REAL people who love Jesus & love the family of God!
